Entertaining, but fluff. Pacing got a little slow in the middle and I didn’t care much about any of the characters. Blah, but I didn’t really expect much.

3.5. Like Ruth Ware's previous books, it was good! I would recommend. Some good twists. Well written. And I loved the main character.

This book was just...plain. Quite boring, if I'm being honest. Some things that really bothered me are:

1)The killer was obvious from the beginning, what took a lot of the fun of the book.
2)I couldn't care about any of the characters. In the beginning I liked one of the narrators, but she was almost forgotten, even during her own chapters.
3)The ending was way longer than it should have been. As soon as we found out who the killer was, the story should have two or three fast-paced chapters and then one more closing it all. Instead, we had more than 20 chapters of slow paced character thinking.

All in all, it was a really boring book, even more when you take in consideration the fact that it is a thriller. I almost abandoned it a few times, because I was bored or annoyed. I wish I could say it was worth sticking till the end. It definitely wasn't.

Definitely enjoyed this one more than The Woman In Cabin 10 but I wouldn’t recommend it as my favorite suspect triller. I read it just as it started snowing so it was quite perfect, really set the scene for me which was very enjoyable but I felt like this book often lacked a bit of trill. It was slow but still entertaining, just not quite suspenseful for a triller. Don’t expect a crazy over the top triller & you will enjoyed it. It’s a bit predictable but not enough to not be enjoyable. I feel like it would be a great film because it reads like one! Enjoyed it!

I love diving into cozy mysteries as soon as summer is over and One by One by Ruth Ware just has the perfect setting - A chalet in the Alps
