My fourth re-read, I think, of my favorite Malazan book. I'm normally fairly detached when reading fantasy, and not easily moved by high drama. This though. Heart breaks every time.

Even better rereading it after a gap of almost 20 years. Hidden treasures within it that emerge within the other books in the series. Truly epic and the must read book of all fans of epic fantasy. Extraordinary and has no signs of running out of creativity and complexity.
