If you happen to think that NCIS is the best television program going AND you're still on the "Zombies are Fun Express" then step right up. Otherwise save this for your bathroom reading.

I listened to the audible version of this book. The combo of Ray Porter narrating with Maberry's writing was brilliant! I'm buying the next in the series.

I did not expect to like a book with a plot involving zombies. This was well written and I enjoyed every page of it.

Worth it! Worth it! Worth it! Maberry breathes new life into a genre - zombie horror - that desperately needs it. Maberry mixes elements from different genres - horror, scifi, espionage thriller, hard-boiled detective - with over-the-top narration, cartoonish characters, and humor. I strongly recommend the novel if you're tired of the same-old, same-old with your zombie horror.

My favorite Zombie book ever. The fringe science involved in this series is amazing. This is 24 meets BPRD.
