Damn good.

The first two chapters are some of the strongest writing I've seen this millennium.

Healing, that’s what I found in some of these poems…

you
have been
taught your legs
are pit stop for men
that need a place to rest
a vacant body empty enough
for guests but no one
ever comes and is
willing to
stay

you have sadness
living in places
sadness shouldn’t live

i didn’t leave because
i stopped loving you
i left because the longer
i stayed the less
i loved myself

people go
but how
they left
always stays

Darker concepts in the poetry than I'm used to, but I really enjoyed this one.

Contemporary poetry about womanhood, the book was somewhat overrated, but still worth the read.
