I love the author's wolves and am still enjoying the series but I feel like there are more typos with each book and they're starting to get to me. Also, Lucas felt like someone from the US who just hasn't been back in a while rather than a native Peruvian who's also well-traveled. It was pretty much when he referred to the States as America. Generally people outside of the US consider America to be the continent rather than just the one country. I'm still going to at least finish off the arc and read Book 5, but I probably won't go further if all the typos keep interrupting my immersion.

I'm not going to lie, I was upset and thinking about not reading BRUJA when I found out that Tessa and Dastien's binding was going to be dragged out even longer than it already was with BRUJA's addition to the series, but I am happy to say I am glad I read it anyways.

We have met Claudia and we have gotten to know her a little bit from earlier books in the series, but BRUJA really let us dive into her personality and I have to say I really enjoyed it. She started off as one person and ended the book as a totally different STRONGER person with someone fantastic by her side. Lucas was protective yet willing to give Claudia her space from the moment he met her. They had a great chemistry and really complement each other.

BRUJA was fast paced with a lot of action and character development. I liked to location and I thought the author did a really good job of keeping the characters on track with their mission while developing their feelings and the relationship.

I am looking forward to being back in TEXAS with Tessa and her friends and I am really looking forward to seeing them take care of Lucinda, it has to happen eventually right? We did find out an interesting fact about the binding ceremony in BRUJA, so I have a few questions that I am hoping will be revealed in ALPHA UNLEASHED.

This book, Bruja, was really good. I honestly put off reading it for a while because it wasn't about Tessa, but I really wish I hadn't.
What I liked:
The romance. It was sweet.
The magic.
The characters. I found Claudia, the main character, very easy to identify with.

I love Claudia's story so much.

From the bigger role she started playing in the book before, I wanted her to have her own story. I really liked that she got to take the spotlight for once. I know it wasn't intentional, but it felt like she was constantly in her cousin's shadow, even though Tessa didn't want to be in the limelight either. I loved how similar, yet different, Claudia was to her cousin.

And obviously, I adored Lucas, but I'm dying to know how old he is.

The relationship was a little insta-love, and we're on book 4 and we're on our third true mated pair. In the second book, Dastien rolls his eyes and condescends to Tessa when she claims Meradith and Donovan are a true mated pair, because of how rare they are. He makes out that he and Tessa are an anomaly. Yet here we are, like I said, on book four with our third true mated pair. That chafes me a little. Why make the claim and double down on it saying something is extremely rare but have it happen to almost all of your characters? I would understand it a little more if something was explained, like Tessa and Dastien meeting kicked off a chain reaction, but I don't think that is ever explained or brought into these stories.

Aside from that, another solid entry in this series. The books really do get better as they go on.

Well, I have not read any other books from this series. I can say I liked this book. I will check into the rest of the books in this series. I like the characters Cloud and Lucas and I like the story line. Being that I have not read the series and this was my first book from this author, in the beginning I was a little lost but once I caught on it was a good book. I love to read about witches! * I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*

In 2018, I first rated the book as 5 stars and while it is a great book, after reading many other books before my re-read I realized that there are some things that could be better. This book is still as entertaining as the others and I loved a book with Claudia as the lead. You really get to see her grow in this book. The problem I had was the romance. It just happened a bit suddenly and I would have liked a bit more build up.

Despite escaping from her coven, Claudia remains blood-bound to Luciana, the coven's leader. She, along with a small group of witches who left with her, has found sanctuary with the werewolves but Luciana can still invade her dreams and the blood-binding makes it possible for her to take Claudia's power.

Desperate to break the binding, Claudia travels to Peru in search of a mysterious and possibly extinct group of white mages but she finds herself facing witches even more evil than Luciana.

I loved this book. The characters are wonderful and the story is great. It's like the characters reach out of the book grab you by the scruff of the neck and drag you through the pages. Honestly, I don't give up sleep for very many books but I just couldn't put this one down.

Many thanks to Ink Monster and Netgalley for providing me with this ARC

Bruja is Book 4 in the Alpha Girls series.

Claudia was under the impression her cousin Tessa would be the one to take over the leadership of the witches coven and help them get rid of the evil that has taken over.

That was until Tessa was bitten and became a hybrid wolf/witch.

To protect her friends, Claudia, her brother Raphael, and a handful of friends escape the witches compound and take refuge with the wolves. The leader of the coven, Luciana, refuses to let them go without a fight and uses their oaths to the coven to drain them of power while they sleep.

Claudia must travel to Peru, to find the mages who may have magic they can use to help in the fight against Luciana who is now raising demons.

Tessa tells Claudia she has a feeling she is going to meet someone while in Peru. Enter Lucas, her guide to help her find the mages.

While in Peru they are up against Dark Mages, Vampires and also meet a Fae, who offers to help for a price?

The thing I like about these books is that they are fast paced and can read them fairly quickly.
