I semi-recently watched the movie of this for the first time and couldn’t believe I’d never seen/read it. I thought the movie had dramatized the characters and given them a little bit more of a fun twist but boy was I wrong. The characters in the book were soooo funny and witty and interesting and had lots of depth. Gonna read more Agatha Christie for sure. So much fun! Makes sense why she’s a classic.

I really enjoyed this book. It reminded of me of Sherlock Holmes meets clue. It’s captivating and a quick read full of mystery and intrigue with a plot twist at the end I didn’t see coming.

I never thought to have so much fun with this book, but omg I love it! This is a great first book for those who want to dive into the Mystery genre! Highly recommend reading via audiobook! I don’t know who my narrator, was since I read this in English class, but let me tell you he was an amazing actor :)

Tenia ya ganas de leer este libro. Descubrí (y lo sé, no tengo perdón por tardar tanto) a Agatha Christie y me sorprendí al darme cuenta de lo que me gustó; Así que los que no os habéis leído "Diez negritos", tenéis que hacerlo. Descubrí ese libro el año pasado por una recomendación y me gustó mucho.
Mi problema al no haber leído antes a Agatha Christie es que la novela de misterio y la policíaca no suelen llamarme mucho la atención, pero decidí darle una oportunidad y me gustó mucho la experiencia, por eso cuando en mi club de lectura se propuso "Asesinato en el Orient Express" no lo dudé.
Me ha gustado muchísimo, más de lo que me imaginé de hecho. Y además por primera vez he sido capaz de descifrar el meollo del asunto y estoy muy contenta.
El ritmo del libro es rápido y aunque la historia sea corta consigue engancharte.
Todos los personajes me han gustado, pero Hércules Proirot me ha llegado al corazón. Me ha parecido muy guay.
Nunca pensé que me enganchase tanto Agatha Christie como para leer mas sus libros, pero creo que les daré una oportunidad. Los pocos que he leído me han gustado mucho. Tendré que seguirla de cerca. En conclusión me ha gustado mucho. Haré una reseña más elaborada en mi blog.
Por lo pronto retomaré la saga de #After, con el libro 0 de Hardin. ¡Nos vemos en las próximas lecturas!

What is there to say that hasn’t been said? A classic for a reason, though I tend to enjoy Holmes and bit more than Poirot.

3 1/2 Unlike many other classics, somehow I have actually gotten to read this book before I saw the movie AND before the plot was spoiled for me. Though there were times that it seemed that the plot structure of the novel was unsurprising given the genre, it was fun to pay attention to the details in order to "solve" the ending.
