"I never claimed to be Prince Charming, and my love isn't a fairy tale type of love. I'm a fucked up person with fucked up morals. I won't write you poems or serenade you beneath the moonlight. But you are the only woman I have eyes for. Your enemies are my enemies, your friends are my friends, and if you wanted, I would burn down the whole world for you."

OMG this freaking book.... It was outstanding. It had me laughing, smiling, and wanting to throw the damn book across the room. *not really, I would never throw a book and damage it* Anyways, I am now obsessed with this series and Alex... Honestly, I didn't like him at first because he just seemed so freaking cold. Well, I quickly changed my mind and started to really like his grumpy self, now don't get me wrong he did make a lot of stupid choices in this book, but he does redeem himself. Once you get further into the story you start to have a better understanding of why he is so cold, and damn is it sad... Now, when it comes to our bright and sunny Ava? He is completely different. He is still a grump of course, but a cute grump. Also did I add he's very possessive?

"What did I tell you? You're mine, Sunshine. You're never touching another man unless you want him six feet in the ground. So yes, we're fucking exclusive."

Ava is the sweetest, but she does have a very dark past that haunts her every night that she does not fully remember, and well, let's just say I was not prepared for what really happened to her. Ava may have a dark past but she is still super bright and well, sunny. Also I love her friends so much in this book, they are so funny. Both Ava and Alex have dark pasts, yet they are complete opposites in everyway. Yet they are perfect for each other.

It is a grumpy sunshine type of relationship, which I love, and what I really loved about this book is that you get a bit of everything in it. You get drama, mysteries, friendship, love, betrayal, loss, and plenty of steam. It's so different from other books I've read and I really like that. Alex and Ava's story is a dark one and their relationship is a complicated one, but in the end their love for each other is endless. Ugh, I would love to go on and on about this book but I won't... Just go and read this book If you have not yet!

"You are the light to my dark, Sunshine. Without you I'm lost."

5 Stars!

This is like a bad romance movie… so bad that it is good again. Honestly idk what this says about me but I enjoyed this book and will probably read the entire series. I just wanted to see what the hype was about

The book was fine but very overhyped. The writing style wasn’t exactly my favourite. It felt a little…juvenile? I didn’t get that invested in the characters or the story tbh. It wasn’t a bad book, just didn’t live up to the expectations. I’ve read a lot better. Luckily it was fast paced otherwise I don’t know if I would have finished it.
