I like how descriptive this story was. We really feel like we're right next to Raven as the events of the story unfold. Which is good, and really immerses you in the story, but also is horrifying considering everything that we see her go through. It was really cool to see what we don't get to when we're seeing through Violet's point-of-view. If you're a fan of the series, I suggest giving this one a read, and if you start reading this series, I strongly suggest picking this one up.

This novella made me feel even more angry at the Lone City World.
My admiration for Raven is through the roof right now, she is so strong and shows no fear of the world she has fallen into, no matter how terrified she is.

If you've read The Jewel and the synopsis for The White Rose, you know that
Spoiler Raven is probably going to die

Things aren't going to end well, and this novella is a painful reminder of that.
