I honestly only read 70% of it. I just don't care enough about any of these characters to keep reading. Honestly, there's so many weird things that aren't explained, that I don't care enough about any of them to continue with the series

I love the story, I love this world and the characters, but there were just a few parts to this book that I just couldn't get on board with...

Like when Orlaith lost her virginity, I just felt like the whole scene was awkward and glossed over and I both did and didn't like that it was just some random stranger. I could see why she wanted to, but I just didn't like the way it happened/after?

Then the ending... I have a lot of mixed feelings about it.

Other than that, I LOVED the new characters introduced. I cant wait to learn more about Vicious and Zali, and hopefully learn more about the back story of Baze!

All in all, I would 100% recommend this book and series to anyone!!

Reread 1:
I picked up on a lot of things that i missed the first time around. But I just feel bad and a little annoyed with Orlaith. Everyone is using her as a pawn, no one tells her anything except the captain and even then his partner tries to get him to stop from sharing some truths to try to shield her. I just want someone to rip the dang blinders off.

Still would rate it 4 ish⭐️

Yeah, this is a DNF.

I had no issues following the first book but I’ve just been confused for 117 pages.

Maybe I’ll come back to this later.

Well. I was right. So many tears. WHAT. JUST. HAPPENED?!

Sarah’s writing is so insanely poetic I could read it all damn day!! This book is heartbreaking and Orlaith’s journey HURTS, but is so powerful and raw and real. This series is like nothing I’ve ever read before.

I still have so many questions, but I can confidently say Cainon infuriates me and I absolutely love my dark, mysterious, ruthless man Rhordyn.

Okay time for the next book like now.
