I think what hit most with this book was how easily everything in this book could happen in real life. It actually sent shivers through me whilst I was reading it.
Though this is part of a series, it can be read as standalone. I haven't read the others in the series but I definitely want to, I feel there is so much more depth in the characters that can be found within the pages of the other books.
In this book we follow a team of investigators as they try to identify the key members of an online incel group called MenMatter that is causing a rise in violence against women.
The tactics they use to analyse the website and chat forums and how they try to draw connects was very clever and well researched.
I enjoyed the characters and watching how all the relationships interacted and grew within the book, and how they navigated through the pressure of the high stakes investigation.
I do wish the final showdown had been a bit more dramatic, it felt a little to quick and easy and didn't fit, in my opinion, with the atmosphere of the rest of the Book.
And of course, the cliffhanger at the end has left me eager to see what happens next with this amazing team!
