I love this entire series but this is definitely the weakest of the 4 books, to me. I personally was never super invested in the subplot involving her mother, and it is the main focus here so it made it harder for me to get into it.
Spoiler the Jo Ann Whitaker subplot was truly surprising the first time I read it, and made for the reveal at the end really great. I was relieved I had already bought the final book and could start it right away. upon rereading tho this subplot is a little cringey and painful to get through, because you know what is coming. which to me is a good thing, just hard to reread ya know.

This is a really good series. The main character is a young adult trying to follow in the footsteps of her father who is a forensic investigator. She has worked as his assistant and has learned a lot which she applies to her own investigations

I loved a lot about this book. The predictability of it made it a little less of what it could've been. And the ending creeped me out more then I can say. I could've sworn I was going to have nightmares about it, but alas I didn't.
Good thing too. The dreams inspired by this book would've terrified me.

The third book in the Forensic Mystery series. Cammie is trying to get to know the mother who has recently come back into her life. But when a young girl is murdered and her mother is arrested, Cammie must put herself in danger to save her mother. Another exciting installment in this excellent series.
