What a let down. The first half of the book picks up where the second book left off and spends the time pivoting between the two POVs over a week or so, then gets wrapped up quickly then the rest of the book spends most of its time making up for the lack of smut in the first half. And boy, is it repetitive.  There's also a random other POV thrown in for one chapter that makes no sense as to why we have that shift. The ending conflict, while satisfying, is also over too soon.

The book is still fast paced, and short, so like the two before it, not a lot of character development. I still might continue the series since it'll shift to Thalia, whom is my favorite.

I read this series as palette cleansers and while it did it's job, I feel like I at least enjoyed the first two and this one was meh. I do appreciate Adara coming more into her own power so that gets a point.

Full thoughts to come but for now...

Evren's dirty mouth keeps this nice and spicy.

The final book in this series was exactly what I needed it to be. Ever since I picked up this series, I only wanted peace and safety for Adara and Evren. While I can't say with certainty that this is where they landed, I did love the closure we were able to get. From start to finish, it's incredible to think of the growth that each of them has shown.

It was incredible to see Thalia and Mina again. I don't care what anyone says; those two are the GEMS of this series. This is my unofficial, official request to Holly Renee to give me more of BOTH OF THEM.

I recommend this series to anyone looking for spicy, fast-paced romantasy. Start with A Kingdom of Stars and Shadows, and be thankful that you don't have to wait as long as I did to read all three. 😉🖤

Let me just start by saying, the last page reveals that there's more to come, and I've never been more excited for new releases in a series. This is by far my favorite series- it is the perfect mix of fantasy, romance, drama, spicy scenes, rivalry, fated mates, magic... I could go on forever.

If you're reading this review you've likely already read books one and two so you know what I'm talking about. Without actually giving any spoilers, a wedding does happen, there are some main character deaths, we meet a different character"s mate, and a different couple FINALLY gets together. It is definitely worth the read to continue!! Although, after the crazy cliffhanger book 2 ended with, I don't know why you'd be reading reviews and not just inhaling the next book to find out what happens.

My single only complaint is the awkward use of the word "sex" to refer to the vagina in sex scenes. I spent a lot of time on book twitter and I don't know a single person who reads romance/erotica that doesn't cringe at that- we'd all prefer the correct names be used because the cringey stuff ruins the moment.
