It’s very sex in the city if Carrie was a mystery writer who was trying to solve a crime. As a sex in the city fan and a lover of mystery’s I really enjoyed this read. If you love Carrie from sex in the city, you’ll love Sophie! This was written in the early 2000’s and it has that aesthetic of y2k fashion divas solving mysteries which makes it an even more enjoyable read

Did not make it past the first chapter upon discovering main character is shallow and fatphobic. I read reviews about the series to see if this would be challenged (to determine if I should continue reading) and discovered the fourth book was extremely transphobic. Will not be finishing this book or reading anything else from the series.
