With a title like that I had high hopes for a piece of literary gold... But it just moved s bit too slowly to even be a good guilty pleasure.

This was a fun light mystery to listen to while driving. Not completely predictable but formulaic enough to be a comfortable, relaxing, entertaining book

While I think the book does sexy mystery well, the final climax of the book is confusing. You as the reader understand that the conclusions the characters are arriving to make ZERO sense. And you have a feeling it’s going to resolve itself but I think either the Anatoly as a potential criminal needs to be reworked are we need more from Donatello. His reasoning for killing seems a little outlandish, as does Sophie faking an attack to get Anatoly arrested. With that being said, Sophie’s and Anatoly’s chemistry is great! Mary Ann’s character is underdeveloped and I would like tighter bond among her friends.

OMG! this is the book that introduced everyone to the world of Sophie Katz. Once i read this book i was wanting more... then a while later i decided to search again and found Kyra had released 2 more Sophie novels... These books are the most amazing books i have ever read. I would even pick these over Twilight..and i love that series too. Kyra knows how to get you into the story and makes you want more and feel like you are right there as its all happening. It keeps you on your toes and guessing. You think you know the murder? think again! You will change your mind many times on who it is... BUT you will never have it right... This is the first book i have read more than once. I cant put it down even though i have read it and i know whats comming. i cant wait for the new book May 26th... Thank you Kyra for Sophie Katz...

Listened on Audible, because it was in my library. I know I've probably listened to it before since it was there, but I have very little memory, so little memory that the twist at the end was still a twist for me. As you can see this is an extremely unmemorable, but enjoyable mystery. The double latte is actually a frappuccino. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This book was alright - there were a few laugh out loud moments but not as funny as I was anticipating. I will give book 2 in the series a try before making a final decision on these characters.

okay so this book was quite a surprise for me, a good surprise! I am not a huge fan of mystery books. They tend to stress me out because I have no patience and I need to know who did it immediately. But this book was listed in the humor section of the audible romance package lists so Igave it a shot. And I kind of loved it. It gave me Stephanie Plum vibes.

It was so good that as soon as this one was over I started on the second one and I am loving that one too!

I don't love it but maybe I'll give it a try at a later date. There were just some things that didn't speak to me so rather than force myself to keep reading, I figured I'd read something else.
