A small warning: Due to a few sexual scenes and some chat about sex, I wouldn't recommend this book for under 17/18 years old.

This volume was just perfect, it was cute, it was romantic. However I see we are really taking a turn out of PG territory and going to a more mature one. Which is ok, it isn't overly done, though it made me a bit uncomfortable to see the sex scenes.

Mei is really growing, she becomes more cute, more certain and she slowly starts to trust Yamato more and more. Even getting comfortable with him kissing her at times (though apparently French kisses are still out of the question). I loved how she said no to that friend of Yamato, just left because she didn't feel comfortable. Go girl! I am not sure if the old Mei would have done this.
And her swimming suit, oh lol, where did she dig that one up. I wasn't expecting that. While I was sure she wasn't the type for bikinis, but I never knew she would cover herself up that much.

We also find out a bit more about her past, with her strict dad and his death after a sickbed.

Yamato is a wonderful guy, and I love how much he does, helps and understands Mei. Of course he is still a pervert, but he respects Mei's boundaries and won't do anything unless she really wants it. And he is honest, Mei asks a question and he answers it.

The side characters are wonderful, and I am really happy to see more about Aiko, Asami and Nakanishi and also Hayakawa. It makes me happy that although they are side-characters that they get just as much time in the spotlight as Mei or Yamato.

And the artstyle is still absolutely lovely, though there are a few times where things don't look that good.

All in all I am looking forward to the next volumes, only a few more months to go until Vol. 3 comes out.

After really enjoying reading the first manga in the series, I decided to buy the next volume. I was a bit worried about this manga because the main characters get together in the first volume and the series is 18 volumes long. I was wondering what would happen in this series when in many others it could take 18 volumes for the characters to get together. However, I am glad that I continued with this series because I rather enjoyed this volume. It put forth a lot of interesting points about love through the storylines of the main characters and the side characters. I will put the next volume on my want to buy list and I will hopefully get around to buying it and reading it in 2020. I would say that this series is quite graphic in the sexual content so I wouldn't recommend it to younger readers, but apart from that the main couple presents a healthy relationship (although there are some toxic/not healthy people in the series), and it's a lot of fun seeing what happens next.

While I wasn’t as thrown off by the sex scenes as when I first read it, I will say they are on page and a bit graphic so be aware.
I do find it fascinating how it’s discuss and the different views being placed.
The two side characters that take a spotlight aren’t my favorites and don’t grab my attention as much as the main couple. I do think they’ll play a bigger part and their perspectives, as with most in the series, bring a different dynamic from the main character which I can appreciate.

I really liked the scenes between Mei and Yamato in this volume, they are such a cute couple (those bracelets are the best)! But I still wish that this wasn't an insta-love series. I almost never find it as interesting, or as satisfying as one that takes it's time a bit more. Also, I gotta be honest, I really don't like the side characters, well most of them anyways, cause Asami is pretty cool. I feel like they're all just a bunch of rude, selfish jerks, with boring stories (most of this is directed at Aiko and Hayakawa). There should be more focus on Mei, she's our main character, yet I feel like I barely know her.
