Did not like the writing. Story was a bit all over the place and was stagnant

Woman of Light by Kali Fajardo-Anstine was beautifully written. I loved the flow through three generations of family and the distinct feeling of hope and beauty despite tragedy. The prose brought the desert and Denver to life and I teared up reading the prologue…. And the rest of the book did not disappoint. I will miss Luz, Diego, and Maria Josie. Their dedication to family and the love and admiration that flowed between them was beautiful.

My only complaint is that I wanted the book to be longer. I felt like the ending left me unsatisfied / it wrapped up too quickly when there felt like we could keep going with these narratives for countless more chapters.
