Jo Walton has a 30 before 30 list - 30 things to do before her 30th birthday, inspired by a traumatic breakup that left Jo reeling. Jo is well on track to complete her list, but after the sudden and tragic death of her nephew, Samson, she all but puts the list on hold to help her family. When Jo's nieces (Sampson's sisters) come to visit her for the summer, however, they insist she must finish her list. While Jo works on completing the list, her path crosses with single dad Alex, who also becomes invested in her list. Even with the help of her nieces and Alex, Jo must face some hard truths about not only her relationships, but herself as well. Perfect for fans of Abby Waxman, Love, Lists, and Fancy Ships is ultimately hopeful and inspiring, and just might make you want to take on a challenge yourself.
