The book was sarcastic and a bit brash so be warned and there is something to say about the lack of references to sources. I mean I just finished English 102 and I know that you need to cite your references

Does what it says on the tin! Short and a great intro to other topics of lesbian history whilst being just incredibly funny. A nice quick but informative read.

This is a fun little book, definitely not intended to be taken as a serious history of queer women however, I can see how this could be a useful and accessible route for people who haven't read about lesbians history before (and this book does focus primarily on lesbians). Parts definitely made me laugh out loud. The main issue I have is that I felt the booked wasn't organised as successfully as it could be, often jumping between time periods and themes it felt a little disjointed to me in places.

This book got me right out of a dreadful reading slump. It’s 200 pages of queer gossip (or history). The sources aren’t always clear and I wonder how much of it is just interpreted but we’ll probably never know. Sometimes I wished for more dates, years, any sense of time. It’s quite humorous though and I really enjoyed reading it.
It’s more of an entertaining book than an educational one but for sure good starting point into the history of queer women. I’d not recommend if you’re already a master of queer history.
