This book had a LOT going on and in like a span of one month. The FMC lost parents, found out her birth parents want her back, thrown into a world where people are after you because your family is part of this big corporation that controls 64% of the worlds money, and are now part of the boys club where said boys will protect you. Also not to mention all the sexual tension, secrets, and lies going on. And that cliffhanger!

💬: Licking my lips and twisting my plaid skirt in my fingers, I risked a quick glance at Beck and found an arrogant smirk on his face that equally made me want to throat punch him and rip his clothes off. It was in that moment that I first considered therapy.

This was a whirlwind. While I don't completely understand the guys pov, I think I will in the next books. I like Riley's attitude.

True to the style of Jasmine Eve you get five guys that hover around one special girl that needs constant supervising and that has mildly inclinations towards feminine empowerment.
It's not that annoying, maybe because in her relationship with Beck she jumps on and off. Which gives it a considerable time on page for intense emotions, especially anger, that of course captivates.

The authors succeeded in writing up the ultimate bad boy. Beck is everything you’d want in an alpha male, but he went a little too far for me to really love it. He was a little too mean to her. And for Riley to dismiss how much she wants him as “I need therapy” over and over just wasn’t good enough.

There wasn’t enough dialogue. I was skimming and skipping over huge chunks of explanations and descriptions. I needed more from the characters to hold interest.

Wow

I normally don’t read about teen/young or new adults because they are usually written so they act worse than my 4 yr old. But these guys were written so well along with the story. I almost wished I waited until all the books were out because now I’m done with this book and I want more!
