Week 6 Book 9
The Little Book of Alpaca Philosophy by Jennifer McCartney
Rating: 4/5

This is such a cute little book! I love the writing style, the adorable artwork and the cute alpaca facts. This book has some valuable lessons for all, even if you're not exactly an alpaca person. It's a short easy read, I really enjoyed it.

This book would make a great decorative piece in the room of a tween who doesn't read.

After reading The Little Book of Sloth Philosophy and The Little Book of Otter Philosophy, I was coming into this one with high hopes. I loved the other two so much and was fully expecting to love this one just as much. I was not disappointed. I loved all of the facts about alpacas. And, in addition to the facts, I also enjoyed the useful tips, tidbits, and takeaways for navigating and enjoying life more fully.

This book, especially when paired with the other two, served as a good reminder to get some perspective, to stay present, and to recognize and let go of all those little things that usually stress me out, but don't actually matter in the long run. It also helps that there are some basic principles for application as well.

This was quite a cozy read just like the other books in the series. It talks about a calmer way to live our lives just like alpacas do. And there are many alpaca facts sprinkled throughout.

I personally liked the sloth and otter philosophy more but I may change my mind when I reread this in the future. I did love the cute illustrations and the message the book gives in general.
