What a read. Loved the characters. Loved the plot. I experienced all the emotions while reading this book. Such an emotional, tense and hopeful story.

I kept getting deja vu reading this because turns out I have read it before. And I didn’t like it then and had forgotten, apparently. This is like The Stand but nukes and honestly just really not very interesting. A few hundred pages in it was all still just them walking and suffering. Oh and TONS OF RAPE and very graphic violence. I love creepy books but this just felt like he really got off on making it as disturbing as possible. Either way, it was actually pretty boring between the over the top violence and felt like it was supposed to be leading somewhere but actually wasn’t getting anywhere.
