sarabookshelf's review against another edition
I am struggling with how to rate this book. It took a very long time for me to read, as I generally don't read that much poetry and am also not a native English speaker. Perhaps it was the archaic language, the overly religious motifs, or my lack of proper understanding of poetry, but I can't say I truly enjoyed this book. Some poems did resonate with me a lot, but for the majority, I was just trying to get through them with some understanding.

I finished this ages ago lol but I forgot about it, it’s the third poetry collection I’ve read so far and I rlly liked it!! Did I only buy it bc Emily Dickinson is fruity? Yes. But it was still a fun read!! Probably more like 3.5⭐️

We outgrow love like other things
And put it in the drawer,
Till it an antique fashion shows
Like costumes grandsires wore.
Emily Dickinson memang ahlinya bikin puisi yang mudah membekas di kepala.

What a poet 🩷 Here are some of my favourite poems from this collection:
- Hope is the thing with feathers
- If you were coming in the fall
- There's a certain slant of light
- The grass so little has to do
- How happy is the little stone
- Because I could not stop for death
- I felt a funeral in my brain
