It's a well written and realistic story.
They are married with two children and after 15 years have just drifted apart. Owen is really busy at work and is neglecting his family.
No cheating, in fact Owen is so focused on work he doesn't even notice any offers.
It's about reconciliation and working out if they can save their marriage and how. It is a bit cheesy.

Finally a good book where they ACTUALLY work on their marriage in a realistic way instead of having the MMC stalk his wife and pressure her endlessly to give in while ignoring the glaring problems that caused the divide to begin with

I always love books about after the 'happily ever after' so this was what I was hoping to read. Both the main characters were so cute together. I liked how they both tried and took responsibility of fixing their marriage and looking forward.

And the epilogue-- oh my God! If that wasn't the sweetest thing I ever read I don't know what was. It was 25 years later and felt like coming to a whole circle.

I found that this story really tugged on the emotional heartstrings. There was no crazy get together story. It was a story of how life is after that happily ever after and the turmoil of a marriage getting muddled.
I really felt for Nadia. Running a family is never easy, but when you add in a husband who lives for his work, it really hits on the confidence you have when it comes to attracting your husband back. Owen is a workaholic who is so focused on his job that he lost what got him there. His wife and his family. Seeing them so broken was heartbreaking.
I think what I really loved about this story is how they fight and work to get that relationship back and make their love blossom again. It was very emotional as this story played out and I felt a real connection to the characters. Overall, this book is a beautiful tale of building that passion and love back up to make your marriage that much stronger!

I wanted to like this more as marriage in trouble is one of my favourite tropes but I just wasn’t feeling it.

I keep reading these types of books looking for the intensity I found in [b:The Unwanted Wife|16056862|The Unwanted Wife (Unwanted, #1)|Natasha Anders|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1349084566l/16056862._SX50_.jpg|21842751] but so far nothing compares.
