This book was an ok book. Nothing too special about this book. It was a quick read, and I managed to read this in 2 days. I enjoyed the ups and downs of this book. Some parts talk about some heavy topics. I disliked the lack of knowledge about autism, and the slur that is commonly used with neurodivergent people. Other than that it was good!

Shooter wasn't exactly what I was expecting.  I DEFINITELY got Breakfast Club vibes from it, though.  Only instead of detention,  they're locked in a bathroom during an active shooter lockdown 🤷🏼‍♀️ Told over the course of an hour and through 5 different view points,  you get an inside look of what it's like to be a high school senior (who really wants to go back to that though, even without the lockdown? let's be honest 😂) and the ups and downs of being a teenager and being different

I thought this book was so interesting. The concept wasn't like a normal school shooting book, which I have read many, so that made it stand out.

Shooter was a great thriller that made you want to read it all in one sitting. It kept you interested from page one. It only takes place over an hour. It goes by fast enough to not drag on, but slow enough so that you know what is happening. It was close to perfection. I liked 4 out of the 5 characters perspectives. The only annoying one is Isabelle. She's kinda annoying. She's egotistical and perfect. After a while, she does learn her lesson. You still have sympathy for her. She's not so bad that you hate the story. She has to be that way for the story to work and for the characters to interact the way they do.

The writing is a bit cringy, it looks like the author doesn't really know how to write teenagers, but the overall story is very good.

The Writing Style Just Didn't Sit Well With Me. I Don't Know What It Was, But I Just Couldn't Get Past The First Few Pages.
