The King family continues in their quest to learn why their house is so strange - filled with portals to different times and places. Times and places that are often dangerous, but also the only way they have to find where their mother may have disappeared. Best read immediately after book 3 - I would recommend reading the entire series in order, back to back. One book moves seamlessly into the next.

Eh now some of the characters are straight up irritating. Xander is just dumb and annoying, and everything feels so contrived.

Amazing book with even more twists and turns them I would've thought possible. This is one of my favorites so far! Looking back to the first book, one can see how much the characters have developed and how they've changed in such a short amount of time. The whole creepiness factor returns to the series towards the end of this book and I am quite glad that it's back... Not glad about what the baddie does, but I like that it's creepy again.

I love this series and each book is good so far unlike some series where it gets worse the longer it goes.

This book was good but I liked the other books a little better.

The things that happened in this book were entertaining and I really enjoyed them but I feel like this was a little slower in the pacing but it still held my attention til the end. It had some interesting plot points and some very interesting things happen and I really enjoyed learning more about the house and the characters because it made for some things very interesting.

The characters grew a lot and learned what it means to work together to get things done in a safe manner and to do it well. It was a very good and very fun and enjoyable.

I didn't expect somethings that happened and I was kept wanting to know what was going to happen to them all even the mean characters. They all had something going on and it made me want to know but it seemed that I would have to wait to see what it was if I kept reading.

I loved the suspense that was in each of these books because it makes it fun to read and very much enjoyable.
