The Scapegracers has immediately become one of my favorite books of all time. Main character Sideways' narration is down-to-earth and relatable, and she confronts sensitive topics with intelligence and a bit of humor. The other main characters are complicated and compelling, and the casual queerness throughout the book is refreshing and, in a way, comforting. This is girls supporting (and loving) girls in the best way.
