A cute, quick, enjoyable retelling of Cinderella.

I liked this book. It made me a little nervous that it might become smutty, but there was no smut. Just the right amount of "wanting" each other without having to read about the details. I like that!

I look forward to reading the other fairytale retellings.

Sinmple and cute Western retelling on Cinderella. Nothing fancy, pretty much an exact retelling but cute.

Set in the Old West, this was a wonderfully imaginative retelling of Cinderella. Ella is a kind, sweet, hardworking woman who deserves to be loved and appreciated. Ian is the owner of a mercantile, a reclusive man stuck in the past. But when he meets Ella, he begins to see a future. The Everland series is one of the best fairytale retellings I can remember reading. The characters are rounded, realistic, and relatable. Caroline Lee's writing is beautiful and addictive. There were quite a few errors (mostly typos) throughout, but they weren't galling enough to distract from the story. Even though there is little magic in this series, the romance makes it magical. I find that I love it all the more because almost everything is up to the heroes and heroines. I highly recommend this novel and this series to anyone who loves sweet fairytale retellings and incredible writing.

"Ella" by Caroline Lee is, the story of a girl named Ella who after her mother dies works without pay for her stepfather and sisters but then one day meets a man then fall in love and he takes her away.

I would give "Ella" by Caroline Lee a one star review because, the characters were dull, there was no character or plot description, and I just can't really imagine I barely 18 year old just falling in love with a man whos like twice as old as her.

Loved reading it, expected more for the ending, didn't care for some of the content!

2.5 stars. Good story, but a bit cliché.

Fairytale Spin Worth Reading

Cinderella set in the Wild West? A too cute story that follows true to the Disney story. A fun afternoon read that you'll want to finish in one sitting.

I enjoyed this a better than the first one - it's a solid three stars. There is still insta-love, though there is more of an attempt at developing a relationship between Ella and her prince. There is also a dog whose gender changes.

It is a good take on the retelling of Cinderella - in particular the use of the shoes. Nice enough.
