Every time I read a romance by Helen Hoang with a neurodivergent main character and romance that makes me blush, an angel gets its wings.

I didn’t enjoy this as much as the first one, but it was still really good. I really liked Kahi as a main character and his relationship with his brother. I did think him and Esme were cute. This also isn’t as steamy as the first one. I do appreciate learning about different cultures and customs.

!!! I remembered really liking The Kiss Quotient but I wasn’t sure I’d love other works by this author. I can’t believe I waited so long to read this! It was so good. I love a romance novel that makes you cry and feel and relate ugh
Lovable, relatable characters. Refreshing representation of someone with ASD.
Also this is the first book that’s left me with that wish-I-could-read-it-for-the-first-time-again, book hangover, gotta-take-a-few-days-to-sit-with-everything-I-read kind of feeling. This is such a good reminder to stop wasting my time trying to hit some magic number of books read for the year. I just wanna read books that I love. I will now DNF books that don’t qualify without shame 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is a funny, thoughtful, and kind look at the autism spectrum and the immigrant experience.  I love these characters.  The author writes the best sex scenes - hot and funny.

This one was not as spicy as the last one, but it was just as good! I really enjoyed the perspectives it brought to the table, apart for the romance.

I loved this book! I read The Kiss Quotient about a month ago, and I wasn’t a big fan but I am SO happy that I gave this book a chance.

I also preferred  Esme and Khai’s relationship over Stella and Micheal:)
Less smutty than the first book though😕💀

P. S. Quan is the best. And Jade makes my heart melt🥺

Spoiler  However I did think the thing with Esme’s dad was rushed and not fully executed, (particularly at the end) so not a 5 star read for me
