I enjoyed this just as much the second time around, would still give it a 5 star rating.

This, my third reading of this trilogy, still kept me on the edge of my seat, eagerly anticipating what I knew was coming. The characters are so well developed and stay true to their personalities, and Nighteyes is so memorable and noble and earthy. I love these books.

Once in a while there comes this piece of literature that reminds me why I love this medium so much

Robin hobb brings Fitzchivalry's tale to a beautiful end in the first trilogy in the realm of the elderlings ...I know he returns in the future trilogies but I doubt any of them would mean as much to me as the farseer trilogy did

Her writing is impeccable, pacing and plot wrapped up so well and her world building really fascinted me more in this book than in the others ...Burrich, chade, THE FOOL,starling, kettle etc they all contributed in so many ways to my admiration for this fantastic piece of fiction

I won't forget this trilogy now or in fifty years....exceptional storytelling once again

Also, are the characters lovable? Majority of them, yes. But Regal, oh Regal… so I’m saying yes, since I love most of them. It isn’t complicated so just now they are not all lovable but most of them are.

What an end to the trilogy! I was a bit worried what the pacing of this book would be like since it was nearly 900 pages as an ebook on my phone and it seemed like it would be all revenge plot. But that wasn't the case! I found the pacing and the tying up of all the necessary plot threads quite satisfying, as well as the continued broadening of the lore.

I can't describe how much of a fever dream this was - mostly my own fault, as I was aching to get through this book as soon as possible - it is THAT good. This was an excellently crafted epic as Fitz travelled towards Verity, in his roundabout way, and we get a real enigma to toss around within that garden. Elderlings, magic, blood, memories. Assassin's Quest was one of the most vivid and colourful experiences I've had while reading anything, including all of the other books in this world.
