I haven't read the others in this series but true to the statement it can very well be read as a standalone. This is my first F1 book and Lauren does play into the premise well.
I enjoyed Wrecked and reading about Jax & Elena's love story as well as their personal healing journeys. The fact that these two were both broken souls that came together and found the beauty within each other made my heart MELT π₯Ίπ₯Ή Its the kind of relationship anyone would want where the other cares,supports and believes in you when you never could. It came for my heart yall and I love these two together.
Elena was the perfect fmc and she made a great partner to Jax. I love how she never give up on him and how he was ready to give it all up for her.
Now our boy did his fair share at being a good boyfriend to her as well. They equally paired and matched together.
That starting had my heart breaking for little Elena honestly and I kept waiting for the time both Elena and Jax would tell each other about their demons. Jax harboring self-hatred,anxiety and self destruction is something that hits hard to us that have anxiety and my heart went out to him. Initially I liked Elena more but as we read more into Jax's pov I started to like them both maybe Elena just a tiny bit more, coz she was so strong yet so sweet.
Overall it was a beautiful relationship with realness about the ugly side of life. It wasn't just rainbows and unicorns like in a general romance. This dealt with heavy themes and Lauren did it so beautifully. I'm glad I got to read their story.

I missed Elena and Jax sm. Rereading their book was so fulfilling. They are such a beautiful and REAL couple.
They truly are so special and have a place reserved in my heart just for them.
