And so, Short Story Saturday continues! Welcome to the history of the Price family! Fans of the series know all about the current generation of Prices and a few details here and there of the ones that came before them.

As we all know, there's a difference between knowing and seeing. More than that, The Flower of Arizona contains details that readers could only have dreamed about. This short story was originally published in the Westworld Weird Anthology and tells the story of how Fran met Jonathan.

It's an entertaining, chaotic, and violent introduction, to be sure. This means it is exactly the sort of meeting any Price could ever hope for. I adore this violent and protective family, and it is fascinating to see a little bit more of the older generations, though I'm already looking forward to reading a whole lot more.

I downloaded several shorts by Seanan McGuire for what is the Incryptid series and figured it would be best to start with this story (part of a scifi/western/steampunk anthology).
