meh...it was okay.
Had I read this one first I probably would have never picked up Water for Elephants.
The characters were kind of stock...except for the primates - they were interesting.

I absolutely loved this book. Sara Gruen did a fantastic job keeping me on my toes and, while it was easy to guess the final outcome, she constantly threw in details and twists that left me reeling. I'm so glad I finally got around to reading this book!

At times I was more interested in the non-human primates in the story than the human ones. It was a quick read and for the most part enjoyable.
