I don't know how else to say it but this is a pretty pointless short story. It's just about Ruth getting a Christmas tree and going to a party at Phil and Shona's. She doesn't even get to open her present from Nelson. I think it could have been much better written. As it is, it doesn't really have an ending. At least this book was free.

A very short, sweet read. I have probably forgotten the story in an hour. This should not be a stand aline. I Think it makes a lot more sense if you all ready know the characters.

I realise it's just a silly novella spin-off, but this series seems to be tuning into chick-lit rather than crime fiction - and my penicillin seems to be working, so my tolerance is going down. have given up on the series and gone back to pick up Caro Ramsay in stead.
