Wonderful book for Passover, or anyone who simply loves cats. Beautiful dark glossy illustrations add depth to the simple poetic text.

What a delightful book about Passover and welcoming Elijah. (For note: in Jewish culture it is said that Elijah, who ascended to heaven in a fiery chariot, will return to earth to announce the coming of the Messiah and a time of peace.) So in our store, the door is opened to welcome Elijah......but Elijah is not fully who you would expect!

I love the story of welcoming those who do not have a home. Of waiting expectantly. Of showing love to those who need it. THAT is true Christianity.

Inside a boy celebrates Passover, outside a kitten goes through his night.

I loved the way the text showed both the kitten and the boy's night with comparison. The art was lovely and the author's note at the end was interesting.

The juxtaposition of the Seder tradition with the cat outside was just too cute!

While this book takes place during Passover, it’s really more about the cat. A great introduction book and away to talk about traditions and kindness.
