she's going to get better and better, I think. lots of promise in her ideas and observations. little clunky for now. but an easy feminism that's comforting.

Oh my god. Twenty stories, 160 ish pages, this god-awful writing style. These are not stories. These are first drafts of stories. No, these aren't first drafts. These are notes of what a short story could be.

Favs: NONE

There were some beautiful passages in this collection. My favorite stories were "http://www.msjiz/boxx374/mpeg," "Sports Night," and "It Doesn't Have to Be a Big Deal."

I honestly did not enjoy this book very much. The only reason I finished it in 1.5 days was to stay on track with my reading goals for break. It was a collection of short stories that really had no theme instead of a vague mention of main characters being Jewish, yet not religious. There were also several stories that mentioned bisexual men, but seconds later were slightly homophobic and mentioned STDs. The stories I was most interested in were too short, and I never really understood the point of the stories. The sentence structure was the worst part. It was so choppy and hard to read. Overall it felt as though the book tried too hard.

I can't get past the style, it's too disjointed for my taste.

I really liked some of the stories (Another Cake) and I would be interested in reading longer works. But once again I'm reminded I really don't like short stories. I want more! :)

This collection of short stories was a bit too millenial for me I think. But I laughed at some of the jokes about twenty-somethings trying to find their way through tangled messes of things.

This is on of those books that was relatable enough to my own experiences, feelings, friendships, ect. that it's existence maked me feel less alone in the world. The narration in some of the stories was fun.
