The relationship between them was cute but the plot was a bit stupid. I still don't understand how her stepfather even found out.
Also I think there are more m|m-Smut than Smut where she was involved.

It was good — why and how was it so good? Finished in one day, don’t know if I’ll read more of them but this was good and I’m shocked by how much I enjoyed it

Fun unique world building. I like that the author just invented a supernatural race so they can become anything to the story.

The story is drama packed (check trigger warnings), but somehow still lacks a level of emotional depth.

While the story was predictable and executed exactly as you would expect, I did find this book to be a surprising comforting read and it made me feel incredibly cosy. If you are just getting into the Omegaverse, this is a great entry book to ease you in.

What too be my surprise was how villainous her uncle was. For a story that was so fast paced and very surface level in character development, this man had a real element of malice to him despite having 'screen time' of no more than a few chapters. This book has partially altered how I view Marigolds.

I cannot say whether I fully understand what the Manix are - the mickey mouse like ears threw me - I like the creation of something new to test my imagination.

3/5 spice

I fear Pack Darling is my omegaverse version of The Love Hypothesis and all other books in this genre will be compared to it.

This is a textbook example of YMMV. I see a lot of four and five stars for this book but I can't get there. Manix has made me very aware that my days of picking books with the clear intention of reading explicit spice are several years behind me.

I was skimming pages (and pages and pages and then even more pages) of sex, searching for the plot. It was there, just heavily padded out with a loooooot of smut. In reality, if you removed all of those sections, you would be left with a decent novella.

So if you're here for the the story and the characters, you may be disappointed. If you're here for poly omegaverse group sex, you'll love it.
