This book was what I mean when I say enemies to lovers their BANTER WAS PEAK..they actually hated each other
Beatrice was actually entertaining and had a personality
Benedick was funny and witty.
Hero and Claudio were sweet.
My favorite quote was when Beatrice said “I love you with so much of my heart that none is left to protest”
YA WRITERS COULD NEVER.
All in all if you are looking for a classic that’s pretty fun to read I would recommend this.

I enjoyed this more than any other Shakespeare play I've read. The humor translates to modern times so well, I loved and hated all of the characters.

I loved how witty this is, especially Beatrice!! The story is quite fun, while still tackling some important themes regarding honour and love and deception. Some of the lines are actually so hilarious, too!!

The first time I read this play, it was the summer before my freshman year in high school. I had never read a Shakespeare play before, and while at first the dialect and composition of it all confused me to no end, I found that with my teacher's help, I was able to understand and appreciate the play. It has been a handful of years since, and to this day it is still my favorite of all of Shakespeare's comedies that I've read. In all of Shakespeare's plays, my love for it falls right behind the esteemed Hamlet--the wit, jokes, and plot are all very inviting, and I wouldn't be surprised if I read this play at least a few more times within the span of my life. Beatrice and Benedick in particular are my favorites; I suppose I rather like that they didn't fall in love with one another at first sight. On the contrary, their relationship was built up on jesting remarks to one another, and although they were both determined to spend their lives single and alone, ended up together. I find them to be as perfect a match today as I did when I was first introduced to them at the age of fourteen. I highly suggest this play to any of my friends who are wary of Shakespeare's comedies.
