Aside for when Dez has to deal with her obnoxious family, reading this was pretty fun. Dez moves to her deceased grandmother's home, which is near a swamp. It's not long before she encounters the kikimora and they get close to each other. The interactions between both women was endearing. And like Dez, I also prefer when Mora is in her natural monstrous appearance, rather than when she makes herself look like a human woman. I'm definitely going to read the next book in this series.

this was a great time. it was interesting and hot. i do feel like there were moments where information was kinda just skipped over because it felt like i was missing an understanding of what was going on sometimes. i also just wanted more from mora like she was standoff-ish but then that wasn't explained really? otherwise, i had a good time, and am so happy to have another FF monster romance book!

This is the sapphic swamp monster romance of my dreams. I loved this story. I really can’t say enough good things about it. I never knew that a sexy, sweet, supportive swamp monster was what I was looking for, but apparently it is. So, so good.
