I really enjoyed getting to read this coming-of-age story detailing a certain point on Sora’s life. It seems like a lot of people weren’t very impressed by the length of this graphic novel and how repetitive it seemed, but I really enjoyed the almost mundane nature of it. Personally, I don’t really think you need a lot of exciting events to happen in order for a story to be good. This contemporary graphic novel really highlights how the daily lives of people can be both impactful but also very calm and simple. And I really appreciated the simplicity of Sora navigating his sexuality and coming to terms with what he felt internally and how that helped him process the relationships he developed with those around him. There were a lot of really great lessons in this story about love, regret, deceit, and acceptance. I haven’t read the author’s other works, but I’m really looking forward to reading them after finishing this one.

I liked this more than I thought I would for a book I picked up on a whim at the local library. The art is engaging and the story is just fantastic. I was worried that it might venture into illicit relationship between a teenager and an adult, but didn't need to worry. Loved how the main character developed throughout the book, but also liked how his friends/acquaintances also grew and developed, even though the story takes place over only a few months.

i was really looking forward to reading OUR COLORS (i thought MY BROTHER'S HUSBAND was truly excellent) but i feel a bit let down now that i've finished it. i honestly thought it was kinda boring? it could've been half the length it was for the story we got. of course i'm not trying to discount the very sweet and inspiring message it's trying to convey, but overall it just felt bland to me because of how light and simplistic it was.

Self affirming story about accepting yourself and finding someone to trust. Tagame's way of telling stories has never quite opened up for me, with his metaphores and imagineries but I can also see that they are part of how his stories are built and loved by his fans.
Also some of the teenagers are a bit off for me an the way they behave.
