 Dante!... What can I say about this man. He is a ruthless mafia boss that takes family seriously and will do what he has to do to protect the ones he loves. He kidnaps a wild Kat from her life as payment for her brothers crimes only to have his world turned upside down. Secrets are unravelled but will these secrets destroy what they have going on or will it bring them closer together. A Surprise baby will change everything for them and their family. This story was written well and thoroughly enjoyed. Did I mention that the audiobook is a duet version and it was sexy as heck.

I love love love Dante and Kat! I am a sucker for an alpha mafia man and Dante is just that. I loved Kat's character development from a timid woman to a badass "I don't care who you killed" woman. She was great and I especially loved that she would call Dante out on his b.s. The twist at the end of the book was one I didn't see coming and was much appreciated, it definitely felt like a full story with a beginning, middle, and end. I can't wait to read Joey and Maximo's story.

• 🌶️2 ; this book is basically full smut with a smidge of plot at the end. The smut itself is also not well written and feels like a teenager wrote it. I gave it two chili peppers for the amount of smut, not quality. 
• This book is basically Stockholm syndrome.
• I love me an angry/ angsty male character but Dante for the entirety of the book was just mean for no reason and very hot/ cold. There is one particular scene (following an escape attempt) that is a hard pass.
• The character development was zero. 
• The writing went way too fast with no story to make it make sense. This was rough to read tbh.
• The only redeeming value is the one plot twist at the very end of the book.
