Fav mpu character is Christian. He’s got issues but maybe understands how to be normal the most?

Listen the last like four chapters saved this book from being a 2 star. Those last few chapters were bangers. But the rest of this, meh. I genuinely struggled to get through it. I liked all the characters except Christian’s toxic ugly boy self (and then reluctantly liked him in that last chapter) and I just can’t help but feel like he ruined this for me with all his anti Magnolia nonsense.

4.5 - First and foremost, 458 footnotes in a 400 page book should be criminal. They're also so irrelevant, do NOT read them if you decide to read this series.

Okay now onto the actual review: So I think the gist is that we're alternating focus between each book, the first one was Magnolia Parks and BJ, and this one is Daisy and Christian. A few things tie the stories together but I also feel like they could be tandem read.

It's like HTGAWM meets Gossip Girl? Like the rich elites but also gang lord drama and white collar crimes? It's nuts in the best way - definitely keeps your attention! I am having fun, it's an easy fun read which I love because at the end of the day I'm just a girl!
