I liked Sanderson's take on such a familiar plot. Seeing Vin go from distrusting street urchin to going to the balls and meeting Elend and other people that care about her was so satisfying. And of course Kelsier is such an iconic character, and his introduction was so well done. I was upset at his death but it really did feel right for the story. The letters he left for them were heartbreaking.
