I wanted it to keep going! It didn't really give insight to the rest of their lives at all.

I enjoyed the first book in this series. This book I liked and hated at the same time. Jessica was driving me up a wall with not being able to figure out who did the crimes or become a ruler when she needed to step up. I found myself wanting to yell at the book at times because it was so frustrating to have a main character struggle so stupidly over stepping up to take responsibility. Overall the ending was pretty good, but I had the whole book ending figured out before I was even half way through it.

I spent almost the entire book extremely frustrated at the characters because I guessed/knew who did it. The book overall was pretty good. It took a while to get into it though.

I love these books! though I wish there had been a little more Jess and Lucius interaction, (but he was imprisoned)it was still just as good as the first! I hope she writes another! i want to know if they become king and queen!

This was better than the first. I thought it was weird that the chapters were so short even with the next one being the same character but I think that’s my only complaint. Maybe having Mindy work with Jess more would have been great too, but I still loved the book. Jess really grew into who she needed to be.
