1st historical romance

So this is the first time I'm reading a historical romance. Definitely not my go-to type of book but I actually like the story it was cute short and sweet/ to the point. I did likely the Octavia and Jasper Sutton I just think the story didn't quite draw me in how I expected it to. Maybe it was because it was too short or I just felt like it wasn't enough given to me and like it was just super quick. So decent for my first historical read definitely not a genre in the romance category that I would gravitate towards often but for something light and fluffy and like quick I definitely wouldn't mind reading the next book.

 Great Story!

Historical romance is not my normal cup of tea but this book was so good! It was written in the format of a contemporary novel with the verbiage and setting of 1800’s London.

This story was so fun to watch them blossom from marriage of convenience to a love match ❤️❤️

He never thought he wanted a wife and children until children were deposited on his doorstep and one Lady Octavia made his blood boil in the most primal of ways.

He put a ring on her finger and fell in love faster than he knew what to make of it ❤️❤️

Sutton’s Spinster, by Scarlett Scott. Oh my gosh! Ladies this book was on fire. The sinfully bliss moments of when Octavia was wrapped in Jaspers arms was exquisite, delightful and very wicked. Scarlett thank you for allowing me to live out my fantasies in this book.
I couldn’t get enough of these two. I haven’t forgotten the story behind the romance. I found the struggle as a single independent woman during this time frame very hard for one and all. I was very happy to read how Octavia fought for what she wanted. And when her back was pushed against the wall, she learned to out whit and out play her Opponents.
I truly did love the characters. The twins were definitely my favorite along with Hugh. I surprised myself by not getting frustrated from reading the characters dialect. I think from how the writer wove in the language eased the readers into it. I like that the writer didn’t give Octavia a specific age or range.
That made reading the romantic scenes all the more fun. Now ladies let’s discuss our leading man Jasper. Think of him as a smooth, illustrious, dominating male lion on the prowl for his Lioness. The many moments he thought about playing between the sheets was very fun for me. Let’s just some it up.
Jasper is a very naughty; naughty boy. I give this book my personal two snaps and a twist. Until next time my fellow readers… read on!

Low on plot with a lot of spice, so not my preferred mix of historical romance; on the plus side, it was a fast, easy read, though the story didn’t make too much sense.
