Fast paced and exciting with so much DRAMA. I appreciate the switch in perspectives because i feel that it was definitely necessary in this story. Sometimes the different styles of voices felt a little forced, but overall it was written in a way that kept me reading.
The last sentence was kind of annoying to be honest because it left so much up to interpretation, but the more i think about it, the more I feel that it was most likely just the group of boys again, but it felt a little try-hard for a suspenseful ending.
Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a fast paced quick read that will keep you hooked.

I’m starting to think maybe I do like thrillers if they are done properly…
I loved the multiple pov which helped me dive into everyone’s secrets while still having an unreliability to the views, keeping me guessing. I also loved how the conclusion is still a bit open ended and I can come up with some of my own interpretations even though the big questions are answered!
TWs: SA, addiction, violence

God this family is so insufferable. The disconnect between the parents and children had me rolling my eyes so much on almost every page. It was annoying but it was the point of the story. It felt realististic. There is a lot of soapy drama though and feels very over the top at points and definitely with some of the twists revealed toward the end of the story.

Ultimately, the story is very thin since we are following 4 characters and they all have their own secrets. We also then have different people connected to each of the 4 main who are connected to the attacks on this family. Some answers are pretty obvious and some are pretty surprising. Also, not all answers are given and the reader is still left with hanging plot threads not closed off. This can be hit or miss I think it does work in this story since there are so many main characters but I wish I did know all answers. So if that bothers you you may not like the ending to this novel.
