"Bridge to Terabithia" continues to stand as one of the most outstanding contemporary stories ever written. As an undeniable classic that even spans two stunningly accurate film adaptations, I believe the story will keep living as it should. For generations to come, tears will be shed and hearts will find healing in this moving tale of closure.

I've seen this movie many times, but I've never actually read the book until now! Read it for banned book club, though of course it's not banned for the reasons you might think. I appreciated the way that this book deals with complex emotions for kids, both with grief and with just general friendship. And the movie is a pretty good adaptation of the book! Not a bad read all around.

Very
emotionally intense
and heavy in religious and bullying themes for a children's book.
You might want tissues for the ending.

An almost perfect book. Genuinely timeless and worth revisiting as an adult, especially because it was one of my favorites growing up. I listened to the audiobook, and Robert Sean Leonard narrated it beautifully.

Cute classic book. Helping give an understanding of grief and growth.

This was a good read. I read this when I was a lot younger and I have seen the movie. I knew how the story was going to end, however I still cry.
The death of Leslie was hard to read.
There was a few parts in the book that I wasn’t a big fan of. There were some parts that were funny and other spots that made me cry. There are some good lessons in Bridge to Terabithia. The biggest thing being about grief and loss. Everyone, grieves at a different pace and in a different way.

I knew what was coming but I was still bawling like a baby.
