Wow. At first I was honestly off-put by this book. I genuinely could not like it for about the first half. Even throughout the whole book, the way that Jesse narrated some of the parts made me strongly dislike him and many of the characters. Too often I got very annoyed with everyone except for Leslie. However, I give this 4 stars for the ending. With the amount of foreshadowing I could most definitely see that Leslie was going to die in the creek. But the way the ending was written was beautiful. I'm glad I stuck this one out.

Bridge to Terabithia was a very sad book. I won’t spoil it but just prepare some tissues while you read. This book has some very good lessons though so I would recommend this to any young adult or teen that is looking for just a sad, nostalgic book.

This book had me blubbering teary eyed when I read it to my kids. Great read, and very deep!

Bridge to Terabithia is just as heartbreaking as I remember it from when I watched the movie at 11 years old. I don’t remember crying then, but I did this time.
I decided to read this for Banned Books Week!
