When I started this book, I was surprised it more depressing than I expected. There was so much bullying and second hand embarrassment from the beginning that it was hard to enjoy despite finding Barrett and Miles really likeable.
But by the 2/3rds mark, I thought the plot had gotten a lot more interesting and I was really impressed with how they handled revealing information and developing Miles and Barrett's dynamic (both with each other and their respective families).
I was a little disappointed with the ending getting wrapped up so quickly and leaving a lot of questions unanswered (which I know is standard for this type of time travel, but their discussion of physics got my hopes up that this time loop would have more of an explanation for why/how it happened).
But overall as a whole I ended up thinking highly of this book and would recommend it, especially for how it handled personal growth and trauma.
