Some of the characters are lovable - not all of them and I wouldn't really count the main character as lovable.
The character I found really lovable has died (😭), however there are some pretty lovable characters.
It's a pretty slow story most of the time and the main character is sometimes a bit naive.
What I really didn't like were the intimate moments between the main character and Nikolai. They just came out of nowhere and I felt kinda uncomfortable reading it - I mostly skipped. I think the book could have gone without these scenes without a problem.
However all in all I liked the book and rated it 4-4.25.

Die ersten 100 Seiten waren echt gut. S. 100-400 haben sich ziemlich gezogen und waren irgendwie langweilig😭 ab S. 400 wurde es aber echt guuuut. Dieses Ende? UNFAIR. Charaktere waren okay, aber im Endeffekt war jeder etwas verlogen… das Setting fand ich auch super. Das Buch wird als Romantasy vermarktet, aber einen richtigen Romance Anteil gibt es nicht, bzw. steht dieser kaum im Fokus. Und die romantische Beziehung basierte auf Lügen und war keine richtige Beziehung. Ich finde Kommunikation wichtig, aber Vals Entscheidung Nikolai zu ignorieren ist verständlich Die Plottwists waren auch unvorhersehbar.
Die Gestaltung des Buches ist echt traumhaft.. das Cover, der Farbschnitt und das Page-Overlay sind ein Traum. Leider ist die Gestaltung besser als der Inhalt😭 ich würde trotzdem alle Bände kaufen und diese lesen um herauszufinden wie Valeas Geschichte zuende geht.
