I read her books when I want to be reminded myself that there is good the world. Her books are deeply religious and a cliche in this regard. The level of innocence portrayed is too unbelievable but one that I hold out hope for and that is reason why I read these.

This one I enjoyed more that I am enjoyed the second one in this series.

I loved the book from the beginning to the end. The gentle love story of Amelia and Michael draws a reader in.

Amelia, a professional violinist, gets lost in a rainstorm on the way home to Columbus from Pennsylvania. The road she takes leads her to a cabin where a young Amish-man is staying after leaving home. The two connect from the beginning, trusting each other completely.

Amelia decides to stay in the area for the weekend, finding a new friend in Joanna. Amelia and Joanna exchange addresses and keep in contact. Michael secretly asks Joanna for Amelia’s address and contacts her. They write to each other for a while but, they lose contact after a time and move one.

The author casually mentions Katie Lapp (from The Heritage of Lancaster County Series). I can hardly wait for the next book to come out.

It's been a LONG time since I've read a Beverly Lewis novel. I enjoyed it very much, which is somewhat surprising because I really don't care for the violin. The story line was excellent. As always, I appreciated Beverly Lewis' ability to keep the story sweet and clean. It flows well and I enjoyed the supporting characters in the book.

Looking forward to more good reads from Ms. Lewis!

Sweet story, but I was not invested in the writing or the characters. I also felt like the author was doing a lot of "telling" because she didn't know how to show it instead. Otherwise for a quick easy read, not bad.

This book is definitely my favorite Beverly Lewis book by far. The romance made me squeal, and the setting had me in awe. Mrs. Lewis is able to skillfully craft a story, with stunning scenery and lovable characters. If you get a chance, definitely pick this one up. Though it is an older book, it still has truths which hold true today.

5/5 stars for a beautiful book by an equally beautiful woman!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the first time I read a book about the Amish. Although, I found the story line to be a bit slow and not very engaging, I really enjoyed learning about the Amish life style. :)

It was a very good book. The flow of the words had me reading the book faster, almost against my will. I had no control over my eyes as they read each word. I couldn't turn the page fast enough. Amish books aren't really my favorite, but I do enjoy them at times. Beverly Lewis has always been one of my favorite Amish Fiction writers, as she writes in that flowing type of way. I know I've said "flow" and "flowing" a lot, but that is the only way to describe her writing. I loved the book, and enjoyed the ending. Can't wait to see what she has next.

This was my first foray into Amish romance. I was bored. I listened to it while on a long road trip and had to fight nodding off. There was almost no conflict, and the book went on and on about everybody's life philosophy. Not much happened. I did like the sweet love story and wanted to know how it worked out.
